About ArcBest Corporation

ArcBest Corporation provides comprehensive freight transportation and integrated logistics services. The company's operations are divided into three distinct segments: Asset-Based, ArcBest, and FleetNet. The Asset-Based segment specializes in the less-than-truckload (LTL) transport of a wide range of general commodities. These goods encompass items such as food products, textiles, apparel, furniture, appliances, various chemicals (excluding bulk petroleum), rubber, plastics, metals and metal products, wood, glass, automotive parts, machinery, and other manufactured goods. Additionally, this segment facilitates motor carrier freight services into Mexico through collaborative arrangements with local trucking companies. The ArcBest segment offers a broad spectrum of logistics solutions. This includes expedited freight delivery services for both commercial businesses and government clients, alongside premium logistics solutions that involve deploying specialized equipment to meet linehaul requirements. It also manages international freight movements via air, ocean, and ground transportation. Furthermore, the segment acts as a third-party transportation broker, sourcing diverse capacity solutions such as dry van over-the-road, intermodal, temperature-controlled and refrigerated transport, flatbed services, container shipping, and specialized equipment. Its ocean transportation capabilities cover both full-container (FCL) and less-than-container (LCL) loads. Complementing these services, ArcBest provides warehousing and distribution, managed transportation, and moving assistance for 'do-it-yourself' consumers. Specialized offerings like final mile delivery, time-critical shipping, product launch support, retail logistics, supply chain optimization, and trade show transportation are also part of its portfolio. Finally, the FleetNet segment delivers essential roadside repair solutions and comprehensive vehicle maintenance management services. These services are provided to commercial and private fleets through an extensive network of third-party service providers. Established in 1923, the company was initially known as Arkansas Best Corporation before officially changing its name to ArcBest Corporation in May 2014. Its corporate headquarters are located in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
