Launch Terminal

Careers

Professional market data has been priced for institutions for forty years. QFI Terminal is the argument that it does not have to be, and it is used every day by investors who were never going to pay twenty-four thousand dollars a year to see a chart.

We are small, remote, and we ship in days rather than quarters. Open roles are listed below, and each one has its own page with what it actually involves, the hours, and how compensation is handled.

What you would be working on

A terminal, not a website. Eleven tabs of equities, options, crypto, macro, institutional filings and news, driven by a keyboard. Everything is a command away and nothing takes more than a second to appear. People leave it open all day on a second monitor, and that is the standard the work is held to.

The data behind it. Prices, fundamentals, filings, options chains, on-chain flows and economic series, ingested continuously and stored in Postgres with TimescaleDB. Some of it arrives clean. Most of it does not, and a large part of the work is turning sources that disagree with each other into a number a user can act on.

How we work

Four things that are true here, rather than a list of words.

Open roles

All remote. We work across European hours and overlap for a few of them; where you are matters less than whether the overlap is workable.

Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer

Engineering · Remote · Full time

The terminal runs on dedicated Linux servers in Europe, and it stays up because somebody keeps it up. This role owns that: the machines, the deploys, the database in production, the alerting, and the parts that should move to managed cloud as load grows.

Account Executive

Sales · Remote · Full time

Most people who buy this buy it on their own, from the pricing page, without speaking to anyone. This role is about the ones who will not: small funds, family offices, research shops and desks that want several seats and a conversation before they commit to any of it.

Marketing Manager

Marketing · Remote · Full time

The product converts once people see it. Almost nobody sees it. This role owns everything that sits between those two sentences, and it owns it with a real budget attached to a real number.

Partnerships & Creators

Growth · Remote · Contract

Finance creators are the shortest path we have to the people this was built for. This role owns those relationships, the deals behind them, and the referral programme that pays them out.

What we can offer

How hiring works

Four steps, usually inside two weeks. You will hear back either way.

  1. You write to us. Email, with whatever shows your work best. A CV is fine, so is a repository, a piece you wrote, or a paragraph on something in the terminal you would change. No cover letter, and no form.
  2. A call, about 45 minutes. What you have built, what you want next, and what the role actually involves. Compensation is discussed here, not at the end.
  3. A paid piece of real work. A small, scoped task from the actual backlog, with a few days to do it and payment at the agreed rate. No unpaid take-homes and no algorithm puzzles.
  4. A decision, and a reason. Within a week of the task. If it is a no, you will be told why in a sentence that is actually about your work.

Nothing above fits?

If you are good at something this product clearly needs and we have not thought to write it down, say so. Tell us what you would do and why it matters here.

Write to careers@qfiterminal.com. Have a look at the product first — open the terminal; the free account shows most of it.
